EUnetCCC WP8 Task 8.2.2 Prevention - Teaming Activity
8.2.2 Personalized Cancer Prevention Lillebaelt Hospital, Denmark
3 - 4 March 2027 - upcoming
EUnetCCC WP8 Prevention Teaming Activity
On 3–4 March 2027, EUnetCCC partners working within WP8 Task 8.2.2 – Personalised Primary and Secondary Prevention will meet at Lillebaelt Hospital in Denmark for the next Prevention Teaming Activity.
The meeting will bring together members of the T8.2.2 lead team from the Oncology Institute “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Cluj-Napoca (IOCN), Centre Léon Bérard/Unicancer, the partners from our core team and Lillebaelt Hospital/Region of Southern Denmark, together with relevant local professionals involved in prevention and care pathways.
The one and a half-day activity is designed as a hands-on working meeting around one central question: how can Comprehensive Cancer Centres move from prevention recommendations to organised, personalised prevention services in daily practice? Building on the Cancer Prevention Hub Framework developed within T8.2.2 - Personalised Primary and Secondary Prevention partners will:
- examine how prevention is currently organised at Lillebaelt Hospital and identify practices that can be transferred to other European CCCs;
- discuss practical models for integrating personalised primary and secondary prevention into the CCC pathway;
- explore how CCCs can reach not only patients, but also caregivers, relatives and people accompanying patients, using the hospital encounter as an opportunity for cancer prevention;
- compare organisational requirements, professional roles, referral pathways and links with existing prevention services; - discuss how the T8.2.2 - Personalised Primary and Secondary Prevention risk-factor pathways and prevention tools can be translated into an operational Cancer Prevention Hub;
- identify implementation lessons and examples that can feed directly into the final EUnetCCC Cancer Prevention Hub Framework.
The programme will combine brainstorming sessions with an on-site exchange with the Lillebaelt team, allowing partners to move beyond theoretical models and examine how prevention can be embedded within real hospital structures.
Agenda and registration will follow.
