Brussels Teaming Activity on Cancer Survivorship 17–18 September 2026 | Brussels, Belgium

On 17–18 September 2026, EUnetCCC partners will meet in Brussels, Belgium for the Task 8.2.7 Cancer Survivorship Teaming Activity, a dedicated working meeting focused on advancing survivorship care across Europe.

Task 8.2.7 – Cancer Survivorship brings together healthcare professionals, researchers and patient representatives from 29 European countries to advance coordinated, person-centredsurvivorship care across Comprehensive Cancer Centres.

Within EUnetCCC, survivorship begins at diagnosis and continues throughout the entire cancer journey. It goes beyond post-treatment follow-up to encompass rehabilitation, nutrition, psychological support, management of late effects, tertiary prevention, social care and support for returning to education or work.

Building on previous collaborative work, including the mapping of survivorship care practices across Europe and the Malta Teaming Activity on patient navigation, partners are developing practical solutions to strengthen survivorship care across Comprehensive Cancer Centres.

The Brussels Teaming Activity will focus on translating this work into practical implementation through collaborative discussions and expert exchange. Participants will work together to:

Review and refine survivorship screening tools
Advance the development of the European Survivorship Hub model
Align on implementation frameworks and minimum standards for survivorship care
Define the next steps towards implementation across Comprehensive Cancer Centres

The meeting will bring together approximately 50 healthcare professionals, survivorship experts, researchers and patient representatives to exchange expertise, share good practices and further develop a coordinated European framework for survivorship care.
